This one was a great job to be a part of. The homeowner wanted to get away from the dated, overgrown look out front and replace it with something cleaner and more intentional. The bones of the property were already solid - great lawn, solid stone entry features, nice mature trees in the background. It just needed the landscape beds to catch up.

We cleared out the old plantings and got to work on a full redesign. Fresh shrubs were spaced and planted across the front bed, giving the whole facade a more structured, polished feel. The real standout detail here is the river rock border - a wide, flowing band of white stone that sweeps along the bed edge and separates the lawn from the planting area. It reads really well from the street and adds a layer of definition that mulch alone can't quite pull off.

One thing worth pointing out on a job like this is the soil prep. We're not just dropping plants in the ground - the beds were cleared down and prepped properly before anything went in. That step makes a real difference in how well new plantings establish and hold up over time. It's easy to skip, and it's also easy to tell when someone did.

Mulch is still coming to tie everything together and finish it off right. That final layer will lock in moisture, keep weeds down, and really make those new shrubs pop. Even without it, you can already see how much sharper the whole front of the home looks. Fresh plantings, clean stonework, and a well-kept lawn are a combination that's hard to beat when it comes to curb appeal.

Landscape design and installation like this doesn't have to be complicated. It just has to be done with the right plan and the right attention to detail - from prep work all the way through to the finishing touches. That's exactly what we focus on with every job we take on.
