Here's what we were working with - a front yard that had seen better days. The existing trees had overgrown and were crowding the entrance, making the whole front of the house feel heavy and unkempt. It's a really common situation, especially with older plantings that were never designed with long-term growth in mind.

We pulled the two old trees and replaced them with a pair of upright evergreens flanking the front steps. That swap alone changes the whole feel of the entrance. Instead of wild, sprawling growth blocking the windows and facade, you get clean vertical lines that frame the door without swallowing it.

After the new plantings were in, we cut a fresh bed edge and laid down rich black mulch throughout the entire front bed. The dark mulch is doing a lot of heavy lifting here - it sets off the brick, makes the green plants pop, and gives the whole yard a finished, intentional look. It's the kind of detail that makes a house look well cared for from the curb.

This is exactly the kind of work that falls under our landscape design and installation services. We handle everything from removing what's not working to sourcing the right plants and finishing it off with the details that actually make a difference. No half measures.

Small changes in the right places add up fast. Two trees out, two in, fresh edge, black mulch - and the front of this home looks completely different. That's what a focused landscape refresh can do.
